SPACEOPTIX is a technology leader in the industrial development and production of high-precision metal optics and mirror systems for applications in the fields of space, astronomy and science.

The company is a Fraunhofer IOF spin-off and offers optical and optomechanical solutions based on more than 20 years of applied research, ranging from the microscale to the meter class. SPACEOPTIX provides support from design to final system integration, including characterization of optical performance.

Products include optical components and systems for earth observation and laser communication, industrial laser applications and optics for the semiconductor market. SPACEOPTIX GmbH is based in Jena and manufactures in the nearby Weimarer Land district (Grammetal).
